She was the best friend I ever had. Stephanie was special. She could make any bad situation better. I will be lost without her friendship. She left her mark on this world through education. Her students were very important to her, she always wanted them to succeed! The loves of her life were Kevin, Kayla and her brother Josh. She lived and breathed them. Stephanie was a person of integrity, she was compassionate, loving, a very gentle person who cared about everyone. She leaves a void in everyone's heart that loved her, that will never be filled. Rest in Peace my friend. You will live in my heart forever more! <3>
I pray that your family and friends will find some solace in your passing way to soon! Love You Girlie!

We were so very sorry to hear about the loss of Stephanie. We pray for her family and especially Kayla, whom I know without a doubt, was the most precious person in the world to Stephanie. May God comfort each one of her family and friends as they mourn her loss. She will be with you in your heart until you see her again in heaven.

I have known Stephanie since the 1st grade and I graduated from high school with her so to say good bye to someone I've known almost 40 years is indeed a very difficult thing to do. I watched her go from a young child who was always laughing in class, always smiling and making friends, always kind, helpful, and friendly to others, to a woman who took these same traits with her into adulthood and left an impact upon all she came in contact with. Her impact upon and love for her students was very evident on her Facebook page; she loved those students at North Duplin as if they were her own. Her love for family was very evident to me on Facebook as she always talked about her daughter Kayla, but it goes back even further for me. I remember when we were at Carver Elementary School and she always talked about her grandmother Mrs. Sallie Hardy and her aunt Sherry Dee. So for me to recall this almost 40 years later strongly suggests that she spoke of them so often that I never forgot it. My thoughts and prayers go out to Kayla and the entire family. I pray that you find comfort and peace through your memories of her and in knowing that her time here on Earth was not in vain; that she lived a successful and significant life and that she helped countless people become better people.

Words can't adequately express the sadness we feel toward the loss of Stephanie. Our hearts ache for the sorrow and pain the family and friends are experiencing. Stephanie truly touched her community in many ways and was able to have an impact on so many lives. We were privaledged to know her and her family through our association with softball. The love, commitment and support she showered on Kayla was understandable and heartwarming. She will be truly missed by many! May God bless Kayla, Kevin and the rest of Stephanie's family / friends through this difficult time. May you find peace and solace in the fact she truly loved you all and will continue to watch over you in all of your life's endeavors.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family. Stephanie was always a fun, uplifting person. We spent a lot of time at Waylin Pool as well as Peter Rabbit's Store during the summers of the 80's creating a lot of good memories. I want to thank her for always welcoming my daughter into her home and for always being a teacher and a mother that our children could confide in. She will be greatly missed.

My sympathy and prayers go out to all the family. Stephanie and I went to school together and lived beside each other for awhile. I would like to tell her mother, Barbara, that no mother should have to bury her child but know that she loved you very much.

Mrs. Stephanie was just an awesome woman. Tears roll down my eyes as I am typing this. I never thought I'd ever be so close to a teacher. The moment I met her I knew we were gonna be cool. She was a very caring person whom slowly without me even noticing begin to get into my heart. If there was someone in our school who I was actually looking forward to visiting after my graduation, it was no one other than her. She showed me her support my senior year of volleyball like no one else did. I learned a lot from her and now I thank God for putting us in the same path. Kayla and Mr. Kevin, you are in my prayers.

Love you Mrs. Stephanie, forever and always <3>

I am so very heartbroken to hear of Stephanie's accident. Stephanie and I were in high school together. I was a year ahead of her. We worked together at the Piggly Wiggly in Mt. Olive while were in school. We had a lot of good times there and often carpooled to work after school and on early Saturday mornings. She taught me how to drive a stick shift....well, she tried. :) I did eventually learn. I just loved her because she was herself and made you feel comfortable to be yourself around her. As a teacher myself, I can only imagine how her students must feel to be without her now. My heart truly goes out to them as well as to her family, especially her daughter and husband. I pray that God comforts your heart during this time. When my father passed, I found great comfort in the scripture, Hebrews 12:1. I know he always with me in some way though he is no longer on this earth. I know Stephanie will always be with her loved ones in that great cloud of witnesses that is cheering you on wanting you to continue without her no matter how painful it may be at times. Love and prayers to you all. <3>

Stephanie was a sweet woman. I knew her our early teenage years at Waylins Pool. Every time I saw her throughout my life she was always so nice and cheerful and always with a smile.

I really enjoyed working with Stephanie. We got to know each other really well and became friends outside of school, too. You could count on Stephanie to "tell it like it is," and I enjoyed that about her. She has been very supportive of me during the last 15 months since Denny died and during my illness. I could count on her to call or message me to see how things were going. I am so sorry for your loss. There are no words to take away the pain of losing someone you love and you wonder how the world just keeps on spinning. But, I am praying that God, your family, and close friends will help you through this most difficult of times.

Stephanie was such a sweet and giving person and always committed 100% she loved and was totally involved with the students she had an opportunity to teach. She was a friend to many I remember all the good times we had at North Duplin during the many years I did substitute teaching. All the fun lunches we had in Debbie Scott's classroom and fun field trip we took on occasion. She ask me many times about covering her classroom when she was out and was always very appreciative.I receive the heartbreaking call
from my daughter whom was a former student of Stephanie. She said mama Ms Stephanie had a wreck and she is gone. She said mama I just saw Ms Stephanie last week and she ask how you were doing and said tell you hello and give her love. Yes, that the Stephanie I knew. She will be deeply missed by all but, with loving and fond memories. Heaven just gained an angel.
